Welcome to Ian Gregson's Personal Web Page

Ian Gregson - is an average kinda guy with an exceptional outlook on life. At age 15 Ian was involved in a terrible accident that for many would have ended a promising athletic career. Today, looking back over the last 35 years, Ian competed at two Paralympic events, ran in three political campaigns, was a stuntman in movies, wrote a book, had a family and became an accomplished musician plus he has helped hundreds of people through his web site at amputee-online.com

The Georgia Straight recently said:

  • "Gregson, a former Paralympian, is one of the city’s biggest critics of the Olympics. He’s a [former] Green party candidate who created the 2010watch.com Web site. He is an East Side community activist, musician, environmentalist, and volunteer with several groups. If you like more radical thinkers, you can vote for Gregson and be assured that you’re getting someone who is knowledgeable about the issues."

As communications strategist Ian not only thinks outside the box, he reinvents the box in order to deconstruct it at a future date. Ian's history of political activism, helping people and creative thinking around concepts enables him to create strategies that are unique and successful.

As a local musician and supporter of the arts Ian plays in a Northern Soul revival band "Mr. M and the All Nighters" . The band plays soul, r and b and a bit of funk and performs regularly around town. He also is in the process of starting up a community garden in Adanac Park, here's a link to Facebook

After 10 years in politics, most of it spent with the Green Party, Ian has taken a retirement from the political scene and is now concentrating on other directions. However, Ian holds the values of environmental stewardship most high, partcularly around transportation and community gardening.

Ian belongs to the Vancouver Auto Co-Op and keeps a blog of being auto-free in Vancouver. Ian has been car-free since July 2005.
